A little bit about me...

I was born and raised in Kenya. I grew up in the church which led me to attend a bible college in order to further and strengthen my faith.

Many years ago I came to Australia and met my husband. Now I am a wife and a mother of three wonderful children.
In the last 5 years I have been offering advice and counselling within my community. I believe I have a calling to serve people where I can. I also believe I am being guided by the word of God because of my strong faith in Jesus Christ. God has always helped me to make the right decisions in all my endeavours.

I have found myself accomplishing more that I could imagine within the Kenyan community in Sydney. In 2015 , I posted on Facebook a video in Swahili advising parents in Kenya to seek more advice about life in abroad before sending their children to study overseas. The clip was shared and reached my households in the Kenyan community. This led me to find a love to advocate for mental health and the challenges of living abroad. Due to my advocacy challenges within the African community, and more specifically the Kenyan community, I won the "Community awareness award" in mental heath awareness from Celebration of African Australians. I was then invited to speak about mental health awareness on SBS Radio Swahili and was invited to speak in different events within our African community in Sydney.
